Position: Rigger

Reporting to: Network Build Manager

Qualification: Relevant Telecoms Qualification or equivalent experience


Main duties & Responsibilities

  • Installation of all types of fixed and wireless network equipment as per client’s specification and in accordance with quality and Health & safety protocols

  • Installation of BTS and access radio equipment

  • Equipment - assembly, erection, positioning and labelling

  • Install telecommunications transmission equipment

  • Analysis of system faults

  • Decommissioning of old transmission equipment

  • Completion of appropriate process documentation

  • Deliver on program requirements as directed by Project Manager

  • Use the correct tools and equipment for the job and ensure that tools are kept in good condition



  • 3 years minimum Telecommunications industry experience

  • Experience with Huawei/Ericsson/Eltek technologies is advantageous but not essential

  • Demonstrated skills in fault diagnosis

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal, sound computing skills also required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices

  • Adherence to company standards and operating practices at all times

  • Working at height certification

  • RF awareness certification

  • Current drivers’ licence

  • Computer Literacy – proficiency of MS office; Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Understanding of the importance for detail and organisation

  • Very good prioritisation skills to balance key priorities

  • Have a strong Learning value
